Central Reporting Point Whistleblower Protection Law

 

You can contact this neutral body, which is bound to secrecy, if you have observed a potential violation of applicable laws or internal work instructions. Please note that only well-founded suspicions or knowledge of actual or potential violations fall within the scope of the Whistleblower Protection Act.

Your external Ombudsperson

We process incoming reports and check the information for plausibility and, if there is sufficient suspicion of a violation, forward it to the company concerned after consulting with the whistleblower. If requested, the anonymity of the whistleblower will be preserved. Please note that the identity of a whistleblower who intentionally or grossly negligently reports incorrect information about violations is not protected under this law and may be liable for damages pursuant to Section 38 of the Whistleblower Protection Act. 

Violations with a high risk for the company, its employees and other persons that require reporting are in particular:

 

  • Corruption, antitrust and money laundering offenses
  • Theft, embezzlement and enrichment offenses of significant scope or value (over 100,000 euros)
  • serious violations of physical and mental integrity
  • Cases of sexual harassment, discrimination, racism
  • Criminal violations of data protection law
  • Accounting and bookkeeping violations with a significant impact that are externally identifiable
  • serious violations related to technical specifications and/ or technical safety
  • Violation of human rights (e.g. violation of the principles of the UN Global Compact)
  • Violations related to environmental regulations and/or non-compliance with product-related environmental regulations
  • Export control violations, violation of sanctions
  • Serious violations of the integrity of the whistleblower system, e.g., serious violation of the anonymity of whistleblowers, serious violation of the reporting obligation.
  • Other high risks, e.g. breaches of regulations with high damage (over 100,000 euros) for the company
  • Violations of rules that are likely to cause serious damage to the company's reputation
